This month Nudge Cards are supporting local Hull charity SEED. The patron of which is Gemma Oaten, former Emmerdale star and recent Holby City actress. Gemma very kindly gave our cards a shout out on her social media channels when I sent her a pack and being local to Hull, I couldn’t think of a more deserving charity to support. Gemma has been in the media spotlight many times discussing her own battle with anorexia when she was younger. She speaks candidly about the lack of support that was available to her or her family.
SEED is a Voluntary Organisation.
We formed in September 2000 in Hull, East Yorkshire, and were known as the Eating Disorder Support Group.
Then we became a Registered Charity in 2004 (Charity No 1108405). We ultimately became known as SEED Eating Disorder Support Services (Support and Empathy for people with Eating Disorders in January 2008).
The charity is made up of 3 co – founders, Trustees, Volunteers of SEED, Supporters of SEED, a Young Ambassador of SEED and Gemma Oaten (former Emmerdale Actress) is the Patron of our Charity.
SEED are a group of ordinary people with firsthand experience of eating disorders, who make a difference to those people whose lives are blighted by this devastating illness.
