Self Care Goals 2019

self care nudge card

I’ve finally awoken from the chrysalis of the Christmas limbo. That disorientating week after the festivities and before we go back to work. My fluffy pink robe has been relinquished from daytime use and I’m back in actual clothes.

I’m starting 2019 with Self Care at the very forefront of my mind. After all you have to practice what you preach. I’ll be over on all of the social media channels sharing a different card each day. I’m going to try and incorporate it into my day and show you how I’m using it.

If you’re not quite sure what self care is, it’s defined in the dictionary as “the practice of taking action to preserve or improve one’s own health”. Health isn’t just physical, its all encompassing, its mental, and its spiritual. Its feeling good from the inside, from the soul.

Everyone takes pleasure in different things. This is what makes Nudge Cards so great. They cover EVERYTHING. From taking time to enjoy a hot drink, to going for a walk and getting out in the fresh air. They cover finding joy in the little things, and most importantly making YOU your priority.

With that in mind. I find writing down your goals makes it more achievable, and having mine, out here, in the public, means I HAVE to stick to it.

  • Start each day with a different Nudge Card
  • Be mindful of negative thoughts that may hold me back
  • Make huge waves by expanding the business
  • Push myself out of my comfort zone
  • Encourage others
  • Do more of what makes me happy

What are your go-to self care plans for 2019?

There is a quote that goes “Our first love is self-love” and I agree, self-care and self-love is important, it makes us happier abd throught that the people in our life are happier too:) I am with you on the second goal. I just tried an excercise I came across in a book and it was – trying not to complain vocally or silently about anything for 3 days. I can not tell you how much more energy and productivity I had. So I am trying to keep to that (it’s hard!!).

I want to try do more things outside of my comfort zone. Say yes to different opportunities and be a more open minded and confident person. Thanks for sharing!

Good luck with your plans for 2019! I’m guilty of not taking enough time out for myself so that definitely needs to change this year!

Nudge cards sound like a fantastic idea, especially as they encourage us to find joy in the little things. This year I also want to make self-care a priority whilst finding a good balance between productivity and relaxation. Thank you for sharing your goals and happy new year, I hope 2019 is a great year and you achieve everything you want to! <3 xx
